The Cisco/I4G Cybersecurity Scholarship For Talented Africans is an initiative created in collaboration between Cisco and I4G that aims to provide African youth with the opportunity to receive training in the field of Cybersecurity and to build successful careers in this industry.
A lot of these roles are still yet to be filled because of a lack of talent. Yet, predictions show that there would be the same number of openings in 2025.
A recent survey conducted by Cybersecurity Ventures revealed that the number of open cybersecurity positions has skyrocketed from 1 million in 2013 to a staggering 3.5 million in 2021.

Ingressive For Good is an initiative that works to provide young Africans in need with access to technology and the skills to help them impact and contribute to the development of Africa, both socially and economically. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between the disparities of existing technology ecosystems in the continent.
We are offering partial scholarships to tech final year students in Africa‘s Ivy League schools who are in need of financial assistance. This includes a laptop to support their education and they will also become part of the I4G Alumni.

Scholarship Requirements for Cisco/I4G Cybersecurity Scholarship For Talented Africans:
To be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- Be an African youths
- Be interested in building careers in Cybersecurity
Scholarship Duration and Reward
I4G and Cisco have partnered to make sure you have free access to the course during a specified period of time.
You will learn the following:
- Introduction to Cybersecurity
- Cybersecurity Essentials Management
- Cyber Threat
- Cloud Security
- Network Defence
- Endpoint Security
Your scholarship will last for a period of eight weeks, although you can progress through the program at your own rate.
