The NHEF Scholars Program is open to Nigerian students who are in their 2nd year of study in a Nigerian university. The scholarship provides financial assistance to cover tuition, accommodation, and other academic expenses.

The NHEF Scholars Program is a 4-year programme that provides financial assistance and mentorship to outstanding Nigerian students who are pursuing undergraduate degrees in Nigerian universities. The scholarship covers the following areas:
- Tuition: The scholarship covers the cost of tuition for the duration of the programme.
- Accommodation: The scholarship provides accommodation for the duration of the programme.
- Stipend: The scholarship provides a stipend to cover other academic expenses, such as books and transportation.

In addition to financial assistance, the NHEF Scholars Program also provides mentorship and career development opportunities to its scholars. Scholars will be paired with mentors who are professionals in their field of study, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey. Scholars will also have access to career development workshops and internships.
Eligibility Criteria for Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Scholarships
To be eligible for the NHEF Scholars Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Nigerian citizen.
- Must be in their 2nd year of study in a Nigerian university.
- Must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 (on a 5.0 scale) in their 1st year of study.
- Must demonstrate leadership potential and community service.
To qualify as an NHEF Scholar, each candidate must possess a strong commitment to Leadership, Community Service, and Philanthropy, as well as making a lasting impact across the globe.
Eligible applicants are penultimate students at our Partner universities, i.e. 300 Level students studying a 4 year course or 400-level students studying a 5 year course.

Application Process for Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) Scholarships
To apply for the NHEF Scholars Program, interested applicants should visit the NHEF website and fill out the online application form. Applicants will be required to provide information about their academic background, personal statement, and leadership experience. Applicants will also be required to provide references who can attest to their academic and leadership potential.
Applicants will be assessed based on their academic achievements, leadership potential, and personal statement. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview, and the final decision will be made based on the interview performance.
